IB Mentoring and Consultancy

The IB program’s structure is unforgiving to students with poor time and resource management. For success, each day’s studies must be optimised, and appropriate contingency plans must be made. Jay provides personalised support to IB students, guiding them through proven strategies to productively manage workloads, maintain a healthy work-life balance, minimise burn-out, and thrive in their studies.

In many schools, Theory of Knowledge (TOK) studies are neglected, even though TOK grades can be critical in determining whether a student achieves grade requirements for university admission. Under Jay’s mentorship, students are taught key concepts in critical thinking, strategies for understanding Ways of Knowing and Areas of Knowledge, and essay support.

Jay offers comprehensive support for all stages of the Extended Essay (EE), including: topic selection, research guidance, and structuring and organisation. Through EE mentorship, students are aided to produce realistic research goals that are in-line with career aspirations, with a clear plan as to how these goals can be met.

Jay offers guidance and support for the IB program’s CAS component, including: creating/selecting components for each aspect of CAS, CAS project planning, and guidance on CAS hour documentation. Through CAS mentorship, students are aided to gain a fulfilling CAS experience which is realistic with respect to time-commitment.
